PODIATRY SERVICES

Corns & Callouses: These are the result of abnormal pressure and friction. Commonly located over bony prominences the lesions are removed. Padding and insoles can help to reduce the pressure along with footwear advice.

Thickened Nails: Onychogryphotic nails are thickened and deformed. They can commonly be the result of trauma. These nails can be treated in order for them to become more aesthetically pleasing with a reduced thickness.

Ingrown Toe Nails: Caused by trauma, incorrect cutting, poor fitting shoes or where the nail has an involuted shape causing pressure or discomfort.

Onychocryptosis: Is an ingrown toe nail which has become infected, painful and swollen.

Verrucae: Viral wart infection

BIOMECHANICS & PAEDIATRIC ASSESSMENTS

As well as mainstream Podiatry and Bowen services Ann specialises in Biomechanical Evaluation and Analysis. It has now become accepted that poor foot function and walking gait maybe part of the reason people suffer from back pain, hip pain, knee, foot and ankle pain extending into poor posture contributing to  neck/shoulder pain.  These corrective devices have been  shown to be highly successful in relieving, reducing or resolving symptoms.
